Petronet LNG on Monday reported a net profit of Rs 1,340.1 crore for the quarter ended March 31, marking a 59.4 per cent jump over the corresponding period a year ago. The net profit was higher than Street estimates. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 848 crore for the final quarter of FY25.
The natural gas major's March-quarter revenue stood at Rs 9,442.1 crore, marking a fall of 15.4 per cent on a year-on-year basis, according to a regulatory filing.
While the company's net profit beat analyst projections, its top line failed to keep up with expectations.





According to Zee Business research, Petronet LNG was estimated to report a net profit of Rs 1,095 crore and revenue of Rs 10,044 crore.
The company registered 55 per cent jump in its quarterly EBITDA -- a key measure of operating income -- to Rs 1,862 crore for the final three months of FY26, according to the filing.
Its margin improved by 900 basis points (bps) -- or 9.0 percentage points -- to 19.7 per cent for the March quarter.
Margin is a key measure of a company's profitability.
The company's March-quarter EBITDA was estimated at Rs 1,309 crore and margin at 13 per cent, according to the research.
The natural gas firm declared a final dividend of Rs 3 per share -- a 30 per cent payout given the face value of Rs 10 per equity share.
When will the dividend be paid?
The company said it will announce the record and payment dates for the dividend in due course.
The dividend, it noted, is subject to the approval of shareholders at its forthcoming annual general meeting (AGM).

Earlier on Monday, the Petronet LNG stock closed flat at Rs 276.6 apiece on BSE.
At this level, the stock has declined 3.4 per cent so far this year. The Nifty50 and Nifty Energy indices have declined 7.8 per cent and rallied 16 per cent during this period, respectively.
