Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday celebrated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) strong electoral performance in West Bengal and Assam, calling it a victory of people’s faith in development-driven governance.
In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi described the outcome of the 2026 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election as “unforgettable,” declaring, “The Lotus Blooms in West Bengal!” He said the results reflect the power of the people and the BJP’s commitment to good governance.
“The people have given the BJP an unprecedented mandate, and I assure them that our party will do everything possible to fulfil the dreams and aspirations of West Bengal,” he wrote. Modi added that the party aims to build a government that ensures opportunities and dignity for all sections of society.

The Prime Minister credited the victory to the tireless efforts of party workers, saying the BJP’s record win in West Bengal would not have been possible without the dedication of countless karyakartas over generations. “For years, they have worked hard on the ground, overcome adversities and spoken about our development agenda. They are the strength of our Party,” he said.
