Dream11, India’s biggest real-money gaming company, has shut all paid contests, shifting to a free-to-play model after the Online Gaming Regulation Bill 2025 banned money-based games. The law prescribes jail terms and fines for violations, impacting companies like MPL, Zupee, My11Circle and GamesKraft. IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said money gaming fuels addiction and illegal funding. Dream11 will now focus on ventures like FanCode and Dream Game Studios. Users can play only free games without cash prizes.
