Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday called for the simplification of rules related to infrastructure and urban development in the country. Reiterating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Viksit Bharat @ 2047' (Developed India by 2047) vision, Shah stated that efforts are being made to remove all kinds of obstacles towards this goal.
The Union Minister was speaking at the CREDAI National Conclave organised in the national capital.
Shah also said developers must include green areas in their project designs, adding that the work of developers is being widely appreciated due to CREDAI.

CREDAI has provided skill development to more than 3 lakh workers, he said.
Calling for aligning skill development with the specific needs of workers, he said that the focus should be on making workers skilled.
By 2047, 50 per cent of the country's population will be urban, he said.
Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA) has played a crucial role in smoothing developers’ operations, contributing to protecting homebuyers’ interests, ensuring transparent transactions and improving construction quality, said Shah.
Stating that the law plays a key role in improving the quality of construction in the domestic real estate space, Shah said that the sector has been the biggest beneficiary of GST.
GST on cement has been reduced to 18 per cent, he highlighted.
New reforms have created the growth potential of 5-7 per cent in real estate, said the minister.
He also mentioned that around Rs 7,000 crore released under the National Housing Fund.
